Black Flag
The periodical
Black Flag centers on anarchist news, important figures, and developments in
Europe and the Western world. Published by the Black Flag Group based in
London, its main political tenets are the total rejection of nationalism and solidarity
with international anarchist groups. The primary themes of the periodical
include the liberation of political prisoners, articles about the theory,
practice and interpretation of anarchism, updates on international transfers
and transitions of governance and other topics of interest. All of the
periodicals include a domestic news column Roon N Aboot, literature reviews, letters
to the editor and an international news update. Black Flag represents an
interesting contribution to the late 1970s European leftist periodicals by its inclusion of dissenting opinions
about anarchism and its focus on political prisoners and efforts to gain their
freedom.
