Puerto Rico Small Books and Monographs
This collection contains books and monographs pertaining to the
independence struggle of Puerto Rico. Many of these materials were written
by major figures in the Puerto Rican Independence movement ranging from Albuzu Campos to Don Juan Corretjer. They discuss
various topics including political prisoners and prisoners of war, the history of the
independence movement in Puerto Rico and cultural aspects of the independence movement.
Materials in this collection include: biographies, speeches, photographs and resistance artwork and poetry by political prisoners and activists, in addition to articles on the human rights abuses in prisons. Several of these materials are also published exclusively in Spanish. Many of the documents are in English or contain translations.
