Judy Gerber reads an article on the connection between gay youth and suicide and gay youth who try to “pass” as straight. The article claims that lack of empowering sexual education for homosexual youth leads to poor self-esteem and shame. Violence against lesbians and gays is prevalent in schools but also leaks in to the homes of those gay and lesbian youth affected in school. Judy also focuses on the lack of family support for the young gay and lesbian community and the related challenges.
