In February 2004, Aleida Guevara conducted an extensive interview, lasting several days, with Hugo Chavez Frias, president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The interview explored Venezuela's explosive
revolutionary terrain post-April 2002--when Chavez survived a coup attempt instigated by the United States. Chavez explains his vision for Venezuela and his commitment to a unified Latin America.
He discusses Venezuela's new, democratic constitution and his country's relations with the United States and Cuba. Chavez also reveals his personal commitment to the politics of Che Guevara, Aleida's father.
Included in the DVD is an interview with General Jorge Garcia Carneiro, head of the Venezuelan armed forces, who was instrumental in encouraging the popular

Hugo Chavez, elected President of Venezuela in 1998, is a colorful folk hero, beloved by his nation's working class and a tough-as-nails, quixotic opponent to the power structure that would see him deposed. Two independent filmmakers were inside the presidential palace on April 11, 2002, when he was forcibly removed from office. They were also present 48 hours later when, remarkably, he returned to power amid cheering aides. Their film records what was probably history's shortest-lived coup d'état. It's a unique document about political muscle and an extraordinary portrait of the man The Wall Street Journal credits with making Venezuela "Washington‚s biggest Latin American headache after the old standby, Cuba."
