Americans for Middle East Understanding
We hold a sizable collection from the Americans for Middle East
Understanding. Americans for Middle East Understanding was founded in
1967 to increase understanding in America of the history, goals and
values of all the peoples in the Middle East; broaden understanding of
their religious beliefs, economic conditions and social customs;
strengthen friendships between all people of the Middle East and people
of the United States; and understanding of the forces which are shaping
American policy in the Middle East. ![](https://ssl.gstatic.com/ui/v1/icons/mail/images/cleardot.gif)
