We hold a sizable collection from the Americans for Middle East
Understanding. Americans for Middle East Understanding was founded in
1967 to increase understanding in America of the history, goals and
values of all the peoples in the Middle East; broaden understanding of
their religious beliefs, economic conditions and social customs;
strengthen friendships between all people of the Middle East and people
of the United States; and understanding of the forces which are shaping

This pamphlet is divided into 3 sections: An introductory section examines briefly the attitudes of the early Zionist towards the Palestinian Arabs before 1948; the second section covers the period between 1948 and 1967 and examines the pattern of administrative practice adopted by the Israeli government towards the Palestinian minority inside Israel; and the third section examines the policy and practices of the Israeli Military Government in the Occupied Territories since 1967.
