A self-absorbed Black American fashion model is on a photo shoot in Ghana at a slave castle when she is transported back to a plantation in the West Indies in the 1800's. She suffers many hardships including sexual violence while on the plantation. Eventually, she and her fellow community of slaves rebel and escape to join a maroon colony.
