1989: the first news story, “Abortion goes to court in Canada” is about the latest attack on womyn’s rights in Quebec, Canada regarding a new anti- abortion law. the second story, “U.S womyn organized against Rape” covers the 11th annual National Coalition against Sexual Assault conference in Philadelphia. The third story discusses the leadership of African womyn in “response to disasters.” the fourth story is on a conference, the national assembly of religious women held, titled “risk and resistance in the south.” The fifth story is about the Israeli court of justice ruling that the homes of Palestinians can not be demolished. The last story on this segment, talks about corporate backers taking control of 3 womyn magazines such as MS and sassy.

This is a collection of different interviews and recordings of female political prisoners from around the world. Lisa Rudman collages them together to show the injustice towards political prisoners and to highlight some of the many tactics used by the US government and prison system to get information out of political prisoners.
Rudman defines political prisoners and interviews Laura Whitehorn and Linda Evans and speaks about their cases and the circumstances leading to their imprisonment.
The other political prisoners interviewed on the tape are: Dora Garcia, active in the national liberation struggles in the US colony of Puerto Rico; Mercedes Algado, a refugee active in the FSLM and FDR in El Salvador; Elizabeth Sebego, active in the Pan African Congress; Assata Shakur, active with the Black Panthers and now a refugee in Cuba; a Filipina imprisoned for her work with the church.

An East Bay women’s delegation speaks of their recent trip to El Salvador immediately following the peace accords ending the civl war there. They worked closely with a women’s delegation newly started there, learning and teaching, as well as visited a FMLN camp to see the conditions of the women soldiers there. A lot of good information about the condition of women in El Salvador paralleled with the delicate political situation there.

It includes songs performed by women about women's liberation from all over the world. It contains an interview with Joyce Sikhakhane concerning the conditions of South Africa at that time. It also contains an interview with two women from El Salvador about women's rights that cuts out at the end.
