BUILD TO RESIST- March 14th @ 7pm @ 518 Valencia, San Francisco

On Thursday March 14th, the Freedom Archives is proud to sponsor BUILD TO RESIST, an event intended to strengthen support for the California hunger strikers and political prisoners. This event will bring together experienced activists and former prisoners to engage in dialogue around movement building, solidarity, and how one can support hunger strikers and their families. These issues are extremely important given the success of hunger strikes around the world as a legitimate method to challenge state authority.  Additionally, with the men held in the Pelican Bay SHU threatening to re-initiate their strike this summer, it is more important than ever to find ways to support them and their demands of the CDCR. The event will be held at the Eric Quezada Cultural Center located at 518 Valencia and will feature panelists Linda Evans (All of Us or None); Josh Harper (member of the SHAC7); Azadeh Zohrabi (Prisoner Hunger Strike Coalition); and Jenny Esquivel (Sacramento Prisoner Support). We hope to see you there!
