The When We Win political education film series is back on EVERY third Tuesday!
On May 19th, join us to celebrate the shared birthdays of Yuri Kochiyama, Malcolm X, Ho Chi Minh and Lorraine Hansberry, with a screening of “Passion for Justice” which chronicles Yuri Kochiyama’s remarkable contributions to social change through some of the most significant events of the 20th century, including the Black Liberation movement, the struggle for Puerto Rican independence, and the Japanese American Redress movement. In an era of divided communities and racial conflict, Kochiyama offered an outstanding example of an equitable and compassionate multiculturalist vision.
