Israel killed at least 935 people in Iran during its unprovoked 12-day war
with the Islamic Republic, judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir announced

on 30 June. The number includes 38 children and 132 women.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said

Monday during a press conference that the US and Israel had conducted an
act of aggression against Iran.

“What happened was an act of aggression with all its characteristics, based
on international law and the United Nations Charter. Our main demand from
international bodies, especially the United Nations, is that the aggressor
be officially recognized. The United Nations Security Council must confirm
this and take the necessary measures to hold the Zionist regime and the
United States accountable,” he told reporters.

Baghaei said Israel launched the attack in cooperation with the US, adding
that Washington betrayed Iran amid ongoing negotiations over Tehran’s
nuclear program.

“It cannot be expected that this incident will not affect the continuation
of the talks,” Baghaei stated.

Due to its continually shifting stances in the talks, the US is not a
trustworthy and reliable partner, he added.

Israel attacked Iran on 13 June amid Tehran’s ongoing negotiations with
Washington over its nuclear program.

Israeli warplanes and drones assaulted civilian neighborhoods and key
military facilities, assassinating several top Islamic Revolutionary Guard
Corps (IRGC) generals and nuclear scientists.

Iran responded by launching multiple waves of ballistic missiles and drones
at Israel, severely testing Israeli missile defense systems and causing

at least $3 billion in damage.

that “Since 1948, Israel’s major cities have never faced the kind of
sustained threat experienced during this war.”

Iranian missiles destroyed multiple buildings completely, while 25 more
will be demolished due to structural damage. At least 29 Israeli civilians
were killed, and nearly 10,000 were left homeless. Over 40,000 have filed
compensation claims with Israel’s property tax authority.”

The war also “left a lasting psychological toll. Should conflict reignite,
Israelis are unlikely to approach it with the same composure,” the magazine
added.

A ceasefire between Israel and Iran – imposed by US President Donald Trump
– was reached on 24 June after the US launched strikes on Iran’s nuclear
facilities on 22 June, and Iran responded the next day by launching
ballistic missiles at the US military’s Al-Udaid air base in Qatar.

On Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he was prepared

to order additional attacks on Iran, despite the ceasefire, as part of an
“enforcement policy.”

“We have the determination to implement it: preserving aerial superiority,
preventing the advancement of nuclear projects, and preventing the
advancement of threatening long-range missiles,” Katz said.
