killed at least 935 people in Iran during its unprovoked 12-day war
with the Islamic Republic, judiciary spokesperson Asghar Jahangir </span><a href="https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/935-people-killed-israeli-strikes-iran-iran-judiciary-spokesperson-says-2025-06-30/"><span style="background-color:transparent">announced</span></a><span style="background-color:transparent"> on 30 June. The number includes 38 children and 132 women.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei </span><a href="https://en.irna.ir/news/85876648/U-S-Israeli-attacks-an-act-of-aggression-U-N-must-announce"><span style="background-color:transparent">said</span></a><span style="background-color:transparent"> Monday during a press conference that the US and Israel had conducted an act of aggression against Iran. </span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cWhat
happened was an act of aggression with all its characteristics, based
on international law and the United Nations Charter. Our main demand
from international bodies, especially the United Nations, is that the
aggressor be officially recognized. The United Nations Security Council
must confirm this and take the necessary measures to hold the Zionist
regime and the United States accountable,\u201d he told reporters.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Baghaei
said Israel launched the attack in cooperation with the US, adding that
Washington betrayed Iran amid ongoing negotiations over Tehran\u2019s
nuclear program.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cIt cannot be expected that this incident will not affect the continuation of the talks,\u201d Baghaei stated.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Due to its continually shifting stances in the talks, the US is not a trustworthy and reliable partner, he added.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Israel attacked Iran on 13 June amid Tehran\u2019s ongoing negotiations with Washington over its nuclear program.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Israeli
warplanes and drones assaulted civilian neighborhoods and key military
facilities, assassinating several top Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
(IRGC) generals and nuclear scientists.</span></p><div class="gmail-twitter-tweet gmail-twitter-tweet-rendered" style="display:flex;max-width:550px;width:100%;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px"></div> <p><span style="background-color:transparent">Iran
responded by launching multiple waves of ballistic missiles and drones

demolished due to structural damage. At least 29 Israeli civilians were
killed, and nearly 10,000 were left homeless. Over 40,000 have filed
compensation claims with Israel\u2019s property tax authority.\u201d</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">The
war also \u201cleft a lasting psychological toll. Should conflict reignite,
Israelis are unlikely to approach it with the same composure,\u201d the
magazine added.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">A
ceasefire between Israel and Iran \u2013 imposed by US President Donald
Trump \u2013 was reached on 24 June after the US launched strikes on Iran\u2019s
nuclear facilities on 22 June, and Iran responded the next day by
launching ballistic missiles at the US military\u2019s Al-Udaid air base in
Qatar.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">On Friday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said he was</span><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/06/27/world/europe/israel-iran-enforcement-policy.html"><span style="background-color:transparent"> prepared</span></a><span style="background-color:transparent"> to order additional attacks on Iran, despite the ceasefire, as part of an \u201cenforcement policy.\u201d</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cWe
