Gaza (Quds News Network)- The United States has approved a $510 million
arms sale to Israel. The deal includes thousands of bomb guidance kits, the
State Department confirmed on Monday.

The sale covers 3,845 JDAM kits for BLU-109 bombs and 3,280 JDAM kits for
MK 82 bombs. It also includes engineering, logistics, and technical
support, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA).

In a statement, the DSCA said the sale will boost Israel’s ability to
“defend” its borders and population centers. It claimed the move will help
Israel meet “current and future threats.”

The announcement comes as Israel continues its genocide in Gaza. Over
56,500 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since October 2023.

On Monday alone, Israeli airstrikes and shelling killed at least 97
Palestinians. Many were in areas where displaced civilians had gathered for
safety.

The Trump administration is under growing pressure over its military
support to Israel, especially as the civilian death toll rises and as Trump
continues to claim that he seeks peace.

In November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants
for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister
Yoav Gallant. They face charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity
in Gaza.

Israel is also facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice
(ICJ) for its war on the besieged enclave.

The new arms sale further implicates Washington in the ongoing genocide.
Human rights groups warn that continuing weapons transfers to Israel may
violate international law.
