The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirms its fighters targeted the Green
Village US occupation base in Syria and the Ain al-Assad base in Iraq with
drones.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq confirmed on Sunday that it had attacked US
occupation bases in Iraq and Syria using drones.

"In response to the crimes that the enemy is committing against our people
in Gaza, fighters of the Islamic Resistance of Iraq used a drone to attack
the American occupier’s Green Village base in Syria," confirming a direct
hit, the Resistance announced in a statement.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq added that its fighters also targeted the US
occupation base of Ain al-Assad in western Iraq with a drone.

*Al Mayadeen*'s sources had reported that US occupation forces in Syria and
the Ain al-Assad base were targeted.

Earlier on Sunday, the Resistance said it had carried out a missile attack
on the US occupation base in al-Hasakah province in northeastern Syria.

Sources told *Al Mayadeen* that the Iraqi Resistance factions targeted the
US occupation's Kharab al-Jir base in al-Hasakah countryside with seven
missiles

It was the second time that Iraqi Resistance factions have targeted US
assets in the Middle East, since "Israel" renewed its aggression on the
Gaza Strip on Friday morning.

*Al Mayadeen*'s sources revealed that the attack "occurred a few hours
after the first wave of reinforcements arrived at the American base." A US
military cargo plane, holding military equipment and weapons, arrived at
the Kharab al-Jir airfield, after departing from the US bases in the Iraqi
Kurdistan Region, according to the sources.

Another shipment arrived at the airfield on Friday, carrying similar
equipment and weapons, our sources said. Moreover, sources told *Al
Mayadeen* that the weapons that arrived in the airfield were for defense
purposes and that the cargo was meant to be distributed among US occupation
bases in Deir Ezzor and al-Hasakah. They also added that this comes in line
with the US efforts to intercept the attacks launched by the Resistance.

Five members of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq have been martyred as a
result of a strike on Kirkuk, northern Iraq, informed sources told *Al
Mayadeen*.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq later mourned five of its fighters who "rose
in the battle of right against falsehood, embodied by the American
occupation forces in Iraq."

Moreover, the Resistance in Iraq affirmed that it will remain steadfast in
its confrontations against its enemies, promising to intensify its attacks
against the US occupation forces, until they are "expelled, humiliated, and
defeated from" Iraq.

A US military official later confirmed that US forces carried out what he
called a "self-defense strike" in Iraq. "A self-defense strike was carried
out on a drone staging site," the official said on condition of anonymity.
It took place "in the vicinity of Kirkuk" and targeted "an imminent
threat", he added.

Last week, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani confirmed Iraq’s

During the call, al-Sudani emphasized that the November 22 US aerial attack
on the Jurf al-Nasr area

that left eight martyrs from the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF)
constituted a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, as indicated in a statement
by his office.

Resistance factions in Iraq have previously said they consider US
occupation bases in the region as legitimate targets, as the US has offered
"Israel" its "unwavering support", enabling it to carry out its massacres
against the Palestinian people, by offering it the necessary military,
financial, and diplomatic backing.
