A new shipment of humanitarian technical aid from the People’s Republic of
China arrived in Venezuela this Saturday to support the treatment and
combat the Covid-19 coronavirus in the country.

Venezuelan vice president, Delcy Rodriguez and the Chinese ambassador in
Caracas, Li Baorong, were present at the delivery of 55 tons of medical
supplies, among other authorities.

“A new shipment of medical supplies from the sister People’s Republic of
China, to combat Covid-19, lands at the Simón Bolívar International Airport
in Maiquetía, La Guaira state,” reported the Venezuelan embassy in China
via Twitter.

Telesur detailed that in this second of many shipments “China sends genuine
humanitarian aid to Venezuela:

•500,000 rapid test kits
•50,000 PCR test kits
•ventilators
•5 million face masks
•10,000+ (most likely surgical scrubs)
•30,000+ units of Chloroquine
•70,000+ infrared thermometers
+ other medicine and supplies

“Unity does everything and, therefore, we must keep this precious
principle,” reads boxes that transport the supplies shown in photos shared
on social networks.

Last Thursday, March 19, China also sent a shipment to Venezuela with 4,015
Covid-19 screening test kits, as well as the medicines and reagents
necessary to fight this health contingency.
