Jalil Muntaqim, being addressed by his slave name, Anthony Bottom, 
was brought into a San Francisco courtroom this afternoon in chains 
and shackles much like his co-defendants.

Jalil did not enter a plea in the multi-count conspiracy charge which 
is based on statements coerced by police torture in 1973. He 
complained about being in transit without an ability to notify 
family, supporters or consult with any legal representatives. Some 
supporters were able to attend his brief hearing.

The next scheduled court hearing for the San Francisco 8 is on

Friday, April 27th.

A demonstration is scheduled for 12, noon on the courthouse 
steps  850 Bryant Street. Court is scheduled in Department 12 at 1:30 pm.
