  2 Palestine Action Trials so far and 0 successful prosecutions


Three Palestine Action activists have seen the cases against them 
dropped in a trial at Birmingham Magistrates Court in another win for 
Palestine Actions campaign against Elbit Systems weapons of death. The 
Crown Prosecution Service failed to offer evidence of charges of 
criminal damage, aggravated trespass, and resisting arrest, after 
overcharging activists following serious failings from police. The trial 
was concluded before the activists had time to present their case on the 
necessity of taking action to end Britain's complicity in Israeli war 
crimes.


The three Palestine Action activists took action last year, taking over 
and occupying the offices of Vine Property Management in Birmingham. The 
action called for an end to the firm’s continued facilitation of Elbit 
Systems and by extension, of their complicity in Israeli war crimes. 
Three female Palestine Action activists stormed the site on Monday 5th 
July 2021, chained the gates of the site shut, sprayed the premises in 
blood-red paint and prevented operations by occupying the roof of the 
building.


Today, in what was the second ever trial of Palestine Action - the three 
female activists - like all Palestine Action activists before them - 
have walked free in another win for justice and Palestine. No activists 
who have faced trial thus far have been successfully prosecuted, with 
the action taken against Elbit's crimes continually being shown to be 
both necessary and proportionate in light of war crimes and human rights 
abuses committed with Elbit's products.


In our 2nd court win against Elbit, following the closure of Elbit 
Systems Ferranti factory in Oldham, we must keep the pressure on them in 
order to shut them down for good. This campaign would not be possible

liberty on the line to end British complicity in Israel's Apartheid regime.
