The Estria Foundation?s #WaterWrites <http://www.estria.org/> and BTSMAP
<http://www.breakthesilencearts.org> will hold an Emergency Response for
Gaza community event fundraiser on
*Sunday, December 9*^*th* *, 4pm - 7pm*
* 518 Valencia Street in SF.*
We are thrilled to welcome Ayman Nijim, a social worker from Nuseriat
Refugee Camp in Gaza who will speak about psychosocial programming for
children and youth in Gaza.
The event will include speakers, music, poetry, dance and an ART+ Silent
Auction. See below for more details.
We hope that you will consider making a *donation* to help the people of
Gaza cope with recent devastation, including 177 killed and more than
900 wounded, compounded by years of military siege and blockade.
All proceeds will go to MECA <http://www.mecaforpeace.org> who will
deliver directly to Gaza much needed medical supplies and support for
the work of Afaq Jadeeda <http://www.afaqjadeda.org/en/>, the cultural
center that Ayman Nijim helps to run. MECA director Barbara Lubin will
be traveling to Gaza next week.
