Philippines (WISAP) conference. GABNet members
will report back from their WISAP exposures, and
6-week immersions in the Philippines featuring
Dr. Annalisa Enrile and Judith Mirkinson, of the
"GABNet 3", to recount how they were held from
leaving the Philippines because of "war-on-terror" watchlists.

Speakers Include:
    * GABNet  WISAP  delegates reporting
from  exposures  throughout the  archipelago
    * Dr. ANNALISA ENRILE, Chairperson, GABRIELA
Network USA & USC Social Work Professor (GABNet 3)
    * JUDITH MIRKINSON, co-founder &
international relations officer, GABRIELA Network USA (GABNet 3)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

GABRIELA Philippines has sponsored the WISAP
conference since 1986, with delegates from around
the world, everywhere from Nepal to Palestine.
This year women came together to share experiences, and develop strategies
to combat the impact of war, globalization and empire on women.

Over 1,000 activists have been killed in the
Philippines since Gloria Macapagal Arroyo (GMA)
took office in 2001. Hundreds more have been
harassed, displaced and/or disappeared. Of these
over half came from the organized opposition
movement. 98 of those killed were women - half
murdered while working as GABRIELA Women's Party
organizers, one of the only women's electoral parties in the world.

We invite the Bay Area community to our community
report back and discussion to build
common strategies for international women's solidarity.
Join us to support the women in the Philippines
and internationally in their quest for justice!
