Maha Abu-Dayyeh Shammas is the co-founder and present Director of the 
Women's Center for Legal Aid and Counseling (WCLAC), which provides 
comprehensive services to women victims of discrimination and abuse, and a 
comprehensive strategy for local, regional and international lobbying in 
the area of law and women's human rights on behalf of Palestinian women.
