HRC: Human Rights Campaign
Inaugurated in 1988, the Human Rights Campaign for Political Prisoners was a coalition of families and friends of political prisoners, professionals, religious leaders, and community activists. These voices united to call upon the government of the United States to acknowledge that it holds political prisoners, to come into compliance with international standards regarding their treatment, and to proceed with their release.
