Ramallah, ALRAY - The administrative detainees in Israeli jails entered
on Tuesday the 55th day in a row of hunger strike protesting the policy
of administrative detention.

After visiting the detainees in Bilnson Hospital, the lawyer of
Palestinian Prisoner Society Jawad Boulos said, that six hunger-striking
detainees catch an infected virus in the throat. The detainees are Fadi
Omar,Dr.Amjad Al-Hamory,Saleh Salahat , Waled Al-Mzayan,Nedal
Al-Jnedi,Mohammed Etely ,Mohab Al-Jnedi and Emad Jad-Allah.

"According to doctors, the detainees immune system has become very weak,
the health of some of them is very critical," Bolous said.

He added that several detainees were transferred to intensive care
units. Nine had a decrease in their pulse, and 20 suffered from blood
loss and were transferred to intensive care units for several days.

On April, 24th, administrative Prisoners started an open hunger strike
which continues until this moment calling to revoke Administrative
detention, since there are prisoners been detained for more than 5 years.

There are still 150 prisoners on hunger strike facing critical health
conditions, without any kind of understanding from the Israeli side
regardless of the prisoners' basic human needs.
