Join Freedom Archives Director Claude Marks and Archivist Nathaniel Moore at this film
screening and discussion, facilitated by Prof. Julio Moreno. Refreshments will be provided.
Symbols of Resistance explores the history of the Chican@ Movement as it emerged in the
1970s. The film focuses on the student Chican@ movement, community resistance against
police repression, and the relevance of the movement to struggles for social justice today.
