In 1982, Judge Albert Sabo, encouraged jurors in the case of Mumia <br>
Abu-Jamal to return a verdict quickly, in time to enjoy their 4th of
<br>
July holiday. On July 2nd, a guilty verdict came. On July 3rd, Mumia
<br>
was sentenced to death. By July 4th, the jurors were home to <br>
celebrate with their families and Mumia was on Death Row, where he <br>
has been since that day to this very moment.<br><br>
While mounds of evidence of Mumia's innocence exists, jurors were <br>
never shown it, and no court of law has agreed to hear it to this <br>
day. It's 26 years later - and we, the people, are still demanding <br>
justice. Join us, as we vow that until justice is served, there will
<br>
never be another 4th of July without protest.<br><br>
The Free Mumia Abu-Jamal Coalition is joining the International <br>
Concerned Family and Friends of Mumia Abu-Jamal in Philly on Friday <br>
July 4th at 12 NOON in front of the Constitution Center, 6th Street <br>
at Market. We will be traveling down by Mega bus from 31st and 8th <br>
Avenue at 9 AM. The bus leaves at 9:15 sharp and is not our bus so <br>
it will not wait for latecomers. All 29 seats we were able to <br>
reserve on this bus have been filled. So this note is really <br>
addressed to those who signed up early and were promised a Mega Bus <br>
seat. <br><br>
FOR EVERYONE ELSE WHO WANTS TO GO TO PHILLY:<br><br>
You can, of course, travel to Philly on your own by New Jersey <br>
Transit, Chinatown bus, car, or however. We will provide the <br>
following collective travel arrangement IF YOU LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE

BY CALLING OUR HOTLINE: 212 330-8029. We will have the overflow <br>
folks meet in Chinatown at 8:30 AM with Gwen Debrow and Tibby Brooks
<br>
if people can commit themselves to showing up at that time. YOU MUST

THEREFORE LET US KNOW IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO TRAVEL WITH US FROM <br>
CHINATOWN OR YOU WILL BE ON YOUR OWN. The Chinatown Bus costs $20 <br>
roundtrip. <br><br>
Those traveling on the Mega Bus will be leaving on a 3:15 bus and <br>
will be back in NYC by 5:15. JOIN US! CALL THE HOTLINE AS SOON AS <br>
