Bashir called today asking for urgent medical assistance. He has lost a
lot<br>
of weight, has diarrhea, can't sleep nights, loss of appetite; and
the<br>
authorities are refusing to let him have any medical attention.<br><br>
Bashir had a triple by-pass heart operation about two years ago, so we
have<br>
to treat these symptoms very seriously. Call the prison immediately
and<br>
demand the following:<br><br>
1. Bashir must receive immediate medical attention.<br>
2. He must be taken to the hospital that did his heart operation<br>
immediately.<br>
3. He must be transferred immediately to a facility where his
medical<br>
needs can be taken care of.<br><br>
Make a similar phone call to Assemblyman Jeffrion L Aubry, Chairman of
the<br>
Corrections Committee, Telephone # (718) 457-3615. Bashir has reached
out<br>
to Assemblyman Aubry to investigate conditions at Great Meadows<br>
Correctional Facility with little success.<br><br>
Please follow-up your phone call with a letter to the warden of the
prison<br>
demanding immediate medical treatment for Bashir. Copy the letter to<br>
