SAVE THE LIFE OF ZOLO AZANIA!<br><br>
PACK THE COURTROOM!<br><br>
On Friday, June 9, there will be an oral argument in<br>
front of the Indiana Supreme Court in the case of Zolo<br>
Azania, who has been on Indiana’s death row for most<br>
of the past 25 years. The court will decide to uphold<br>
or overturn Judge David’s decision that prohibits the<br>
state of Indiana from pursuing the death penalty in<br>
Zolo’s case. <br><br>
Let’s support Zolo and take an important stand against<br>
the death penalty by coming to court on June 9th. Zolo<br>
and his lawyers feel that it mattered a great deal<br>
when the courtroom was packed for prior hearings at<br>
the Indiana Supreme Court. In decisions in Zolo’s case<br>
the court itself has alluded to the importance of<br>
public scrutiny of the death penalty.<br><br>
There will be an informational event and art showing<br>
of Zolo’s work in the week prior to the oral argument<br>
at Christian Theological Seminary. The informational<br>
event will be an opportunity to learn about the<br>
specifics of Zolo’s case and build for a public<br>
presence at the oral argument. Zolo is an accomplished<br>
artist. His work carries his life and strong spirit<br>
beyond the prison walls.<br><br>
