Marwan Marouf, a leader in the Muslim community in Dallas for the last 
30 years, dropped his son off at school. Then, ICE arrested him.^1

Despite Marwan’s deep, decades-long ties to his local communities, his 
commitment to community service, and his ongoing immigration case, the 
Trump administration abducted him. *It’s an outrage.*

We are working with the Muslim Legal Fund of America (MLFA), which has 
represented Marwan for six years in his case for lawful permanent 
residence, in an urgent push to secure Marwan’s release. *We need your 
help to pressure Texas lawmakers to immediately release Marwan from ICE 
detention and protect members of the Muslim community from ICE.*

During his three decades in the U.S., Marwan has been a dedicated 
community leader. He helped found Boy Scout Circle 10 District’s largest 
troop in North Dallas, actively promoted multiple drug awareness 
campaigns for youth, volunteers regularly with the Red Cross, and is a 
Certified Disaster Relief First Responder.^2 This is who ICE has ripped 
away from his family and his community.

*We must fight for the release of Marwan.* We must fight for the release 
of all members of the Muslim community — along with those in Black, 
brown, and Asian communities — whose names we don’t know, who’ve been 
denied their constitutional rights and taken away by ICE. *We must stop 
these ICE abductions in every community, in every part of the country.*

Marwan’s case, like so many of ICE’s arrests, is devoid of fairness, 
justice, and the constitutional protections that apply to everyone in 
this country.

We are committed to working alongside MLFA, local leaders, and the local 
community to fight for Marwan’s release and the safety of Muslims in 
America.

release of Marwan Marouf and an end to the federal government’s 
persecution of Muslims.*
