🔴 Doaa Al-Qadi, Tahreer Jaber and Abla Sa'adat kidnapped by occupation in
Ramallah raids!

On the night of September 16-17, the occupying forces raided various West
Bank towns, arresting over 30 people, beating them up and destroying their
homes. Among the 30 arrested were 3 women, including 2 well-known activists
and 1 student from Birzeit university.

In Al Bireh, the colonial army arrested Abla Saadat, wife of Popular Front
Secretary General Ahmad Saadat, at her home with her daughter, when some
twenty soldiers burst into the family home. In 2003, Abla had already been
arrested on her way to Brazil to take part in the World Social Forum as an
Addameer representative. She was transferred to administrative detention
for 4 months and launched a hunger strike with two other administrative
detainees to protest against their isolation and demand their release.

Ahmad Saadat is Secretary General of the Popular Front, one of the historic
components of the Palestinian Resistance and the main left-wing force in
Palestine. In 2002, he was arrested by the Palestinian Authority on the
orders of the Zionist state and imprisoned in Jericho. In 2006, the Zionist
army raided the prison where he was being held and kidnapped him along with
4 of his comrades, Ahed Abu Ghoulmeh, Majdi al-Rimawi, Basel al-Asmar and
Hamdi Quran. In 2008, a Zionist military court sentenced him to 30 years in
prison.

In the same raid, zionist occupation forces abducted Tahreer Badran Jaber
from her home in Beitunia. Tahreer Jaber is a longtime Palestinian feminist
activist & organizer, best-known for her work with the Union of Palestinian
Women's Committees of which she is Executive Director. She is also a member
of the World March of Women.

The Union of Palestinian Women's Committees (UPWC) is a feminist, popular,
civil and progressive organization founded in 1980. It is one of 6 NGOs
classified as banned organizations by the Zionist state in 2021, along with
Addameer, Al Haq, Bisan, UAWC, and Defense for Children Palestine. In
November 2020, Khitam Saafin, UPWC's previous director, was arrested and
imprisoned for 18 months before being released in May 2022.

Duaa Al-Qadi is a student in the Faculty of Media of of Bir Zeit
university. She was abducted from her home in the city of Al-Bireh. Her
brother Mustafa, also a student in Bir Zeit university, is in detention in
occupation jail since May 2023. Their other brother Mohammad was also
arrested once, then released, and now waits for his two siblings.
