The family of the hunger-striking prisoner, Khader Adnan, waged a sit-on
Thursday morning, in front of the Al-Manara roundabout in Ramallah, after
he reached a life-threatening stage of his hunger strike.

Khader Adnan started his hunger strike 75 days ago, in protest at his
arbitrary detention.

Prisoner Adnan started his hunger strike on the first day of his detention,
February 5.

Adnan, who is under security camera surveillance in the Ramla prison’s
infirmary, refuses to take any kind of intravenous fluids or medication or
even undergo medical tests.

His wife, Randa Musa, said, in previous statements, that there are fears
that he would be forcibly fed by the Israeli Prison Service.

Adnan is on hunger strike for the fifth time in an Israeli prison, and has
surpassed the duration of all of his previous strikes.

Adnan has been imprisoned at least 12 times since 2004. His last hunger
strike has inspired a wave of Palestinian prisoners held in administrative
detention to join him.
