*Lori Berenson* *was a political prisoner in Peru for 20 years* on 
charges of collaborating with an insurgent organization, the Tupac Amaru 
Revolutionary Movement (MRTA). She recently completed her sentence and 
has returned to the United States. Prior to living in Peru she worked in 
El Salvador with the FMLN (Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front) 
during the national peace process.

por cargos de colaboración con la organización insurgente, el Movimiento 
Revolucionario Tupac Amaru (MRTA). Hace poco cumplió su condena y 
regresó a los Estados Unidos. Antes de vivir en el Perú, trabajó con el 
FMLN (Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional) durante el 
proceso del paz en El Salvador.
