thoughts, a reminder of our duty to confront those who would tell 
lies about our history."

spread of evil in our own time, that we must reject the false comfort 
that others' suffering is not our problem, and commit ourselves to 
resisting those who would subjugate others to serve their own 
interests," Obama said."

You speak of 'lies about our history' ... well, dear president, I 
think now you have no choice but to go even farther, and make an 
official visit to the site most representative of our own American 
Holocaust at Wounded Knee.  Perhaps you could make arrangements to go 
with Leonard Peltier.  While there, you could speak to all of 
America's political prisoners.

If you do ever make that trip to the place that most symbolizes our 
own native peoples suffering, I feel sure that you will understand.

The horrors that proceeded our current government''s process of 
civilization have never been properly documented, and the government 
has yet to apologize to the decedents of such a massive 
catastrophe.  That we recognize publicly other holocausts, and yet 
deny our own is still a bitter pill to swallow for many.

Truly you seem a compassionate man, one who values the truth.  The 
time has surely come to acknowledge the truth about our own original people.
