Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) targeted an Aramco refinery in Saudi Arabia\u2019s Jizan region with several drones, a military source told the SABA
news agency on Tuesday. According to the source, the drones achieved a
direct and precise hit on the facility. The operation was carried out in
response to violations of Yemeni airspace over the provinces of Saada
and Hajjah.

The strike comes one day after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced another military operation in the Red Sea targeting a Saudi military landing ship and four accompanying military boats off the coast of Mocha.

Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Sanaa is closely monitoring the movements and military buildups of Saudi forces, warning that they will remain targets for Yemeni operations on both land and sea.

Saree stressed that the Armed Forces would continue operating under the equation of \u201cblockade for blockade,\u201d including by targeting Saudi military buildups wherever they are located.

Sanaa warns escalation will be met in kind

The latest developments come as the Foreign Ministry in Sanaa reiterated that further Saudi escalation would be met with reciprocal measures. \u201cThe further the Saudi regime proceeds with its escalatory measures, the more it will be met in kind,\u201d the ministry said.

Sanaa accused Riyadh of reneging on previous commitments and
intensifying restrictions against Yemen to an unprecedented degree,
saying the decision to adopt the \u201cblockade for blockade\u201d equation was
aimed at countering those measures and alleviating the humanitarian
crisis facing the Yemeni population.

Tensions between the two sides have increased since the Yemeni Armed
Forces announced in July that the 2022 truce with Saudi Arabia had
effectively collapsed.

Sanaa subsequently declared a naval blockade against Saudi interests,
describing the move as a response to continued aggression and as being
backed by mass demonstrations held in the Yemeni capital and other
provinces.

Under the new equation, Yemeni forces have also announced
restrictions targeting the movement of Saudi oil vessels through the Red
Sea.

The Sanaa government has maintained that its forces are prepared for
further confrontation with Saudi Arabia and will continue targeting
military buildups, reiterating that the policy of \u201cblockade for blockade
and escalation for escalation\u201d will remain in place until what it
describes as the demands of the Yemeni people are met.
