of an Israeli-linked group carried out a terror attack in Iran's Sistan
and Baluchestan province on 26 July, Iranian state media IRNA </span><a href="https://en.irna.ir/news/85897297/Six-killed-in-Israel-linked-terrorist-attack-on-Zahedan-Judiciary"><span style="background-color:transparent">reported</span></a><span style="background-color:transparent">. At least six people were killed in the attack, as well as three attackers.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Alireza
Daliri, deputy law enforcement commander in the province, told IRNA
that members of the terrorist team attempted to enter the Judiciary
Department in the city of Zahedan on Saturday morning.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Local security forces confronted the attackers, killing all three of them in clashes.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Two
of the militants fled the scene but were killed several streets away
from the Judiciary building. The third attempted to detonate a grenade
but was killed before he was able to.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">A mother and her one-year-old child were among those killed, Daliri said.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Iran's
Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in Zahedan said that 22
others were injured in the attack \u2013 the majority civilians.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">The Iranian Judiciary said that emergency personnel had been sent to the scene, evacuating the injured to nearby hospitals.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">In a statement posted on social media, Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice), a Baloch militant group, </span><a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/7/26/at-least-five-killed-in-courthouse-attack-in-irans-sistan-baluchestan"><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">claimed</span></a><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)"> responsibility for the attack, and urged \u201call civilians to immediately evacuate the area of clashes for their safety."</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">On 25 July, one member of Iran's paramilitary volunteer group, the Basiji, was </span><a href="https://x.com/ScharoMaroof/status/1949046357269881052"><span style="background-color:transparent">killed</span></a><span style="background-color:transparent">
after an attack by Kurdish militants from the Kurdistan Free Life Party
(PJAK) on a military checkpoint near Sardasht close to the Iraqi
border.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255)">The
PJAK is a sister organisation of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) and
is often perceived as taking orders from the PKK leadership.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">The
attack comes as Israel has stepped up covert attacks in Iran following
the 12-day war launched by Tel Aviv against Tehran in June. Israeli
drone and warplane attacks killed 935 Iranians. At least 30 Israelis
were killed by Iranian retaliation attacks.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">Officials cited by the </span><a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/07/23/world/middleeast/iran-fires-sabotage.html"><span style="background-color:transparent"><i>New York Times</i></span></a><span style="background-color:transparent">
(NYT) on 23 July said they suspect Israel to be behind the mysterious
explosions that have taken place across the country since the end of the
war a month ago. </span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cMany of them were acts of sabotage,\u201d three Iranian officials said, including one member of the IRGC. </span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cA lot of us think that it is Israel's doing and that war is going to start again,\u201d a resident of the city of Kashan told NYT.</span></p><p><span style="background-color:transparent">\u201cWe
are not even in a ceasefire now; we are in a fragile suspension, and
any minute it can end, and we are back at war,\u201d said Mahdi Mohammadi, an
Iranian politician and senior advisor to the head of Iran's parliament.
</span></p><p style="margin-left:0px">One day after the war ended,
the director of Israel\u2019s Mossad intelligence agency, David Barnea, vowed
to continue operations inside the Islamic Republic. </p><p style="margin-left:0px">\u201cWe
will remain vigilant, keeping a close eye on all the projects in Iran,
which we know of, in the deepest way. We will be there as we have been
