<p>A convoy of thousands of volunteers is set to depart from Tunisia on 
Monday, heading toward the Rafah border crossing to demand an end to the
 Israeli genocide, break the siege, and deliver humanitarian aid.</p>



<p>The Coordinating Committee for Joint Action for Palestine in Tunisia 
said that a Maghreb land convoy, including thousands of volunteers, will
 set off from the capital Tunis and the cities of Sousse (east), Sfax, 
and Gabès to the southern city of Ben Gardane, en route to the Gaza 
Strip. The journey will pass through Libya and Egypt to express 
solidarity with the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza and to deliver 
humanitarian aid.</p>



<p>The committee added, \u201cParticipants in the convoy will head to the Ras
 Jedir border crossing on the Tunisian-Libyan border, then travel along 
the Libyan coastal road to Cairo, and finally reach the Rafah crossing 
on the Egyptian-Palestinian border to deliver messages of solidarity and
 aid to the people of Gaza.\u201d</p>



<p>The land convoy will include union and political figures, as well as 
human rights activists, lawyers, doctors, journalists, and members of 
youth organizations.</p>



<p>The committee published the schedule for departures from the capital 
Tunis and other major Tunisian cities, along with meeting points and the
 planned route through these cities.</p>



<p>On May 31, Wael Nawar, spokesperson for the \u201cCaravan of 
Steadfastness,\u201d reported that thousands of people from Tunisia and other
 Maghreb countries had joined the convoy.</p>



<p>Nawar said, \u201cThe convoy will include delegations from Mauritania, 
Morocco, and Algeria, as well as thousands from Tunisia and Libya. We 
will head directly to Cairo, then to Al-Arish in Egypt, and finally to 
Rafah (in southern Gaza).\u201d</p>



<p>He confirmed that as of May 30, more than 7,000 people of various Maghreb nationalities had registered to join the convoy.</p>



<p>Several Tunisian organizations expressed their support for and 
participation in the convoy, including the Tunisian General Labor Union 
(the largest labor organization), the Tunisian Journalists Syndicate, 
the National Bar Association of Tunisia, the Tunisian League for the 
Defense of Human Rights, the Tunisian Forum for Economic and Social 
Rights, the Tunisian Medical Council, and the Tunisian Organization of 
Young Doctors.</p>
