<p>Israeli forces stormed several areas across the occupied West Bank on
Tuesday, forcibly evacuating Palestinian residents, impounding
vehicles, and fatally shooting a young man near Nablus.</p>
<p>In the town of Beit Ummar, north of al-Khalil, Israeli troops carried
out a raid, deploying heavily in residential areas. Meanwhile, in
Tulkarm’s Nur Shams refugee camp, soldiers forced residents out of the
Jabal al-Nasr area at iftar time, preventing some from breaking their
fast in their homes.</p>
<p>Near the illegal Israeli settlement of Homesh, west of Nablus,
Israeli forces shot and killed 21-year-old Mufid al-Kilani from the town
of Silat al-Dhahr in Jenin. Details surrounding the incident remain
unclear.</p>
<p>Additionally, Israeli troops set up multiple military checkpoints
across the West Bank, detaining hundreds of Palestinian vehicles,
causing significant delays as families attempted to return home for
iftar.</p>
<h2>Surging Israeli violence</h2>
<p>The Israeli occupation forces and Israeli settlers launched 1,705 attacks on Palestinians in the<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/videos/israeli-palestinian-film---no-other-land---wins-oscar--direc">occupied West Bank</a><span> </span>last month, a recent study from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission revealed. </p>
<p>The commission's director, Muayyed Shaaban, stated in the report released Monday that IOF were<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/israeli-forces-demolish-100-buildings-in-jenin-amid-ongoing">involved in 1,475 of these attacks</a>,
while Israeli settlers carried out 230. Nablus witnessed most of the
attacks with 300, followed by al-Khalil with 267, and Ramallah with 263
attacks.</p>
<p>Shaaban said Israeli settler attacks were most common in Nablus and al-Khalil, with 43 each,<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/iof-detain-university-students-in-ramallah-as-west-bank-war">followed by Ramallah</a><span> </span>with 38 and al-Quds with 25 attacks.</p>
<p>These attacks comprised 68 cases of<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/israeli-assault-on-nur-shams--breach-of-intl--law---un-must">property destruction and theft</a>, which affected vast swaths of Palestinian territory. </p>
<p>Furthermore, settlers removed 642 trees,<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/settlers-intimidating-olive-farmers-in-west-bank--plot-for-a">including 610 olive trees</a>, primarily in al-Khalil (292), Jenin (250), and al-Quds (100).</p>
<p>The study also noted the deliberate targeting of the Arab al-Mleihat settlement<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/palestinian-teen-succumbs-to-wounds-sustained-from-iof-in-ar">northwest of Ariha,</a><span> </span>where settlers built a road around the region and set fire to the community mosque in an attempt to<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/-israel-s--west-bank-aggression-triggers-unprecedented-displ">displace locals</a>.</p>
<p>In February, Israeli occupation authorities also executed 79
demolitions, impacting 156 properties, including 109 inhabited homes.</p>
<p>The most serious demolitions were in al-Khalil, with 55 structures
destroyed, followed by Jenin (26), al-Quds (19), and Salfit (15).</p>
<p>In addition, 93 demolition orders were issued, with the majority concentrated in Nablus (25),<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/iof-continues-aggression-on-tulkarm--destroying-homes--infra">Tulkarm</a><span> </span>(24), al-Khalil (13), and Tubas (8).</p></div></div></div>
