<p>Dozens of instances of damage were reported across "Israel" today as a result of heavy rocket fire from Lebanon.</p>
<p>According to the Israeli news website, <em>Ynet</em>, "Dozens of
Property Tax Authority teams arrived at impact sites, but due to the
high number of events, it is still not possible to assess the full
extent of the damage."</p>
<p>Initial estimates indicate damages in the tens of millions of shekels, <em>Ynet</em>
reported. The rockets struck numerous buildings, vehicles, and
infrastructure, with authorities noting that assessments will be
possible within the next 24 hours.</p>
<p><em>Ynet </em>further underscored that over <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/former-iof-official--lebanon-agreement-will-be-violated---bu" target="_blank" rel="noopener">250 rockets were fired from Lebanon</a> since midnight, prompting 543 air raid sirens to sound across occupied Palestine.</p>
<p>In turn, the <em>New York Times</em> reported that today's operations
were "one of the largest Hezbollah has mounted against Israel since the
Lebanese militant group started firing on Israel last year in
solidarity with Hamas in Gaza."</p>
<p>It is worth noting that the operations coincided with intensified
diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war in Lebanon and following
massacres against Lebanese civilians in Beirut and across Lebanon.</p>
<h2>Israeli media jokes about destroying 80% of Hezbollah capabilities amid Tel Aviv strikes</h2>
<p>"An Unusual Day in Israel," is how Israeli media titled the events of the day in northern Palestine. <em>Channel 12</em> reported that it was "a very <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/hezbollah-launches--unprecedented--strikes--destroys-6-merka" target="_blank" rel="noopener">intense day of Hezbollah rockets</a>, covering vast areas."</p>
<p>The channel continued, acknowledging the difficulty of the situation:
"The feeling in the north today is far from easy, with more than 250
rockets hitting the center, north, Haifa, and the Krayot areas.
Unfortunately, in many regions, rockets fell, and the air defense
systems simply didn’t work as usual."</p>
<p>For its part, <em>Kan </em>described the Hezbollah strikes today as
"completely unprecedented," noting that "the spread of rockets across
the north and deep into Israel is something we haven’t seen in a long
time, in addition to the sheer volume of rockets."</p>
<p>The military correspondent for <em>Walla </em>sarcastically commented, "Didn’t they tell us that 80% of Hezbollah’s rockets and shells had been destroyed?"</p>
<p>According to a military source for<em> Army Radio</em>, sirens sounded more than 500 times since morning due to Hezbollah rockets.</p>
<p>The source further confirmed that approximately 4 million people have entered shelters since the morning.</p>
<p><em>Channel 12</em>’s correspondent, Dafna Li’el, reported that the Israeli occupation government is holding a discussion today regarding <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/6-israeli-soldiers-commit-suicide--thousands-seek-mental-hea" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ceasefire negotiations with Lebanon</a>, highlighting the "growing pressure on Netanyahu," adding that "the field is speaking right now."</p>
