Abu Shujaa, the Palestinian Resistance commander of al-Quds Brigades'
Tulkarm Brigade, confronted the Israeli occupation forces alongside his
comrades for several hours before he was killed in Nur Shams refugee

<p>The commander of the Tulkarm Brigade in the Al-Quds Brigades, <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/al-mayadeen-interviews--israel-s--top-wanted-fighter-in-wb" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Mohammad Jaber</a>,
known by his nom de guerre, Abu Shujaa, was killed following hours of
confrontations with the occupation forces in the Nur Shams refugee camp
in the <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/palestinian-resistance-in-west-bank-will-surprise--israel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">West Bank of occupied Palestine.</a></p>
<p>According to <strong>Al Mayadeen's </strong>correspondent, Abu Shujaa
was killed alongside four of his companions after Israeli occupation
forces surrounded the building they were in.</p>
<p>The Israeli occupation forces launched a large-scale aggression
against the camp on Wednesday evening, as part of the intensive
aggression against the West Bank, the largest since 2002.</p>
<p>Deploying dozens of military vehicles and bulldozers, the Israeli
occupation commenced extensive demolition operations in the streets and
infrastructure of the camp.</p>
<p>According to Israeli media, the occupation forces besieged several
Resistance fighters at 4 am, including Abu Shujaa, inside a building in
Nur Shams.</p>
<p>Confrontations broke out, during which the occupation forces fired an
Energia rocket at the building, however, confrontations continued.</p>
<p>By the end of the armed confrontation, Abu Shujaa and four others with him were martyred.</p>
<h2>Who was Abu Shujaa?</h2>
<p>Abu Shujaa had previously stated in an exclusive interview with <strong>Al Mayadeen </strong>earlier
this month. "If the enemy assassinates me, we will continue. The
struggle does not end with one person, there are generations that rise
to defend our rights, and the biggest indicator is the martyrdom of a
Palestinian and more in each home in Tulkarm, and the Resistance
continues." </p>
<p>Regarding the multiple pursuits by the Israeli occupation forces, Abu Shujaa confirmed that the enemy <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/after-fooling--israel----martyred--resistance-chief-emerges" target="_blank" rel="noopener">failed to assassinate him three or four times</a>, despite specific operations targeting him.</p>
<p>The commander mentioned that during one attempt to kill him, "Israel"
invaded Tulkarem for 55 continuous hours, asserting that "Israel" and
its occupation army are "weaker than a spider's web, given their
substantial losses."</p>
<p>However, he added, "the enemy has always been like this and never acknowledges it."</p>
<h2>West Bank wide-scale aggression continues</h2>
<p>As of now, at least 14 martyrs have been reported due to the aggression against the West Bank. <strong>Al Mayadeen</strong>’s correspondent in the West Bank reported that a young man was martyred and another was injured by the <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/resistance-factions-call-for-general-mobilization-in-west-ba" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Israeli occupation forces' gunfire in the Tulkarm camp</a>,
raising the total number of martyrs in the Israeli aggression against
the West Bank to 14, including those from Tubas, Tulkarm, and Jenin.</p>
<p>Our correspondent also reported that the Israeli occupying forces
arrested Bayram Qasas on the outskirts of Tulkarm camp before
withdrawing from the camp's vicinity and the city, except for the Nur
Shams camp.</p>
<p>Additionally, the occupying forces withdrew from the Al-Far'a camp in
Tubas after arresting several Palestinians and brought in more
reinforcements to Jenin, closing the city’s entrances.</p>
