<p>The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) denounced recent reports of US efforts to impose a <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/hamas-calls-for-implementing-july-agreement-instead-of-new-t" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ceasefire agreement</a>
on "Israel", calling them a "ploy and a new act of deception" by the
Biden administration aimed at covering up the ongoing aggression and
ensuring the continuation of what it described as a genocidal war.</p>
<p>The PFLP's statement, released on Monday, highlighted the continued
false accusations leveled against the Palestinian people and their
resistance by the US, along with its military support and direct
participation in the war on the side of the Israeli occupation.</p>
<p>In response to these developments, the <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/fighters-of-the-resistance-axis-will-go-down-in-history:-pfl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PFLP</a>
emphasized that the Palestinian Resistance's willingness to engage with
mediator initiatives has always been tied to its desire to alleviate
the suffering of the Palestinian people and stop the crimes and
massacres committed by the Israeli occupation. However, the Resistance
movement also warned that using negotiations as a tool to perpetuate the
genocidal war effectively turns these talks into an instrument of war
and aggression.</p>
<p>The PFLP underscored the need for mediators to demand an immediate
and comprehensive halt to the Israeli occupation's crimes and its war
against the Palestinian people before any negotiations can begin.</p>
<p>The movement argued that it was inconceivable to hold talks while the
Israeli occupation's crimes continued in shelters, schools,
displacement camps, and hospitals.</p>
<h2>Negotiations being used for cover</h2>
<p>Moreover, the PFLP dismissed the significance of any negotiations "as
long as the Israeli government and its war criminals have not provided a
clear and public approval of the proposals initially put forward and
adopted by US President Joe Biden."</p>
<p>The movement firmly rejected the notion of "opening the door to new negotiations or discussing <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/cairo-talks-on-gaza-ceasefire-reach-deadlock--reports" target="_blank" rel="noopener">old or new conditions</a> proposed by the war criminals in the Israeli government."</p>
<p>"We will not allow our people to be held hostage" as Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu employs further ploys and theatrics
alongside the remainder of his cabinet and amid US and international
cover, the PFLP underlined, stressing the need for an actionable plan to
end the aggression and a binding international decision to guarantee
this plan.</p>
<p>Finally, the PFLP reaffirmed the unity of the Palestinian people and
their Resistance in the face of the aggression by the Israeli occupation
and its allies, as well as their maneuvers under the guise of
negotiations.</p>
<p>The movement expressed full confidence in the resistance's ability to
defend the rights of the Palestinian people and uphold their legitimate
demands.</p>
<p>Last week, Qatar, Egypt, and the United States issued a joint statement saying that the time had come to finalize a <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/pflp-underline-commitment-to-resistance-ceasefire-demands" target="_blank" rel="noopener">ceasefire</a> agreement in the Gaza Strip and arrange for a prisoner exchange.</p>
<p>The statement also noted that the parties have been working for
months to reach a framework agreement, which is now on the table, with
only the implementation details remaining.</p>
<p>The three countries expressed their readiness to present a final
proposal to resolve the issues related to implementation in a manner
that meets the expectations of all parties. They also called on both
sides to resume urgent talks on Thursday, <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/us-rules-out-gaza-ceasefire-agreement-by-aug-15--bloomberg-s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">August 15</a>, in Doha or Cairo.</p>
