<p>The <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/lebanese-resistance-hits-around-570-settlement-units-on-nort" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Islamic Resistance in Lebanon</a>
- Hezbollah responded Tuesday to the Israeli aggression on southern
Lebanon, which saw the Israeli occupation forces attacking a house in
the southern Lebanese town of Houla, martyring <span>its residents,
namely a woman, her husband, and her son, with the retaliation seeing
the Resistance bombing the Israeli settlement of "Kfar Blum".</span></p>
<p><span>The Islamic Resistance issued a brief statement saying its
fighters launched dozens of Grad rockets toward the Israeli settlement
of "Kfar Blum".</span></p>
<p>An <strong>Al Mayadeen </strong>correspondent had reported before the
statement that he saw more than 50 rockets being launched from southern
Lebanon toward the <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/latestnews/2024/2/24/al-mayadeen-s-correspondent-in-southern-lebanon--sirens-soun" target="_blank" rel="noopener">al-Jalil panhandle</a>, noting that the majority of the rockets had successfully struck the Israeli positions.</p>
<p>The barrage of rockets was commented on from the Israeli side,
wherein the latter said it was one of the heaviest to be launched toward
the al-Jalil panhandle since the start of the cross-border
confrontation, noting that the attack caused a power outage in the area.</p>
<p><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/hezbollah-foils-israeli-infiltration-attempts-into-lebanese" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Hezbollah</a>
fighters have been engaged in wide-scale operations covering the
entirety of the area near the Lebanese-Palestinian border, launching
attacks on Israeli occupation sites and forces since October 8.</p>
<p>Through these operations, the Resistance has affirmed its unwavering
support to the Palestinian people and their Resistance in the Gaza
Strip, who face an unprecedented Israeli aggression that has killed more
than 30,000 people and wounded more than double the number. </p>
<p>Recently, Israeli forces have escalated their actions in violation of
Lebanon's sovereignty attempting to infiltrate the border, near the
town of Rmeish. Hezbollah fighters successfully discovered and thwarted
the failed infiltration<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/hezbollah-foils-israeli-infiltration-attempts-into-lebanese">on Sunday midnight</a>, dealing direct hits to two different forces within an hour and forcing the invaders to retreat.</p>
<h2>Israeli Merkavas no match for Hezbollah</h2>
<p>Earlier on Tuesday, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon announced that
its forces engaged an Israeli Merkava tank in the al-Tayhat Hill,
destroying it in the process.</p>
<p>Another Merkava was attacked in the <a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/israeli-ministry-urges-stocking-up-in-north-as-a-war-prepara" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Israeli settlement</a> of "Netu'a", which wounded and killed several of its crew.</p>
<p>Hezbollah's fighters also bombed the command headquarters of the
Eastern Brigade 769 in "Kiryat Shmona" and an assembly point of Israeli
soldiers behind the al-Baghdadi military site.</p>
<p>The Resistance went on to attack another assembly point in the
al-Tayhat Hill as well as the Rouaissat al-Alam military site in the
occupied Lebanese hills of Kfar Chouba.</p>
<p>The Resistance said in a statement that the operation came in response to the Israeli aggressions on southern villages and<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/-israel--to-pay-with-blood-for-civilian-deaths--sayyed-nasra">civilians</a>.</p>
<h2>Many tricks still up Hezbollah's sleeves</h2>
<p>The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc in Lebanon, Member of
Parliament Mohammad Raad, affirmed that the Islamic Resistance in
Lebanon has not yet utilized all its weapons, stating that "the weapons
of the great war have not yet been unleashed."</p>
<p>During a commemorative event in the town of Kfar Melki in South
Lebanon, Raad emphasized that the Israeli enemy withdrew its forces in
May 2000 only after facing non-stop Resistance operations. He added that
the Resistance is determined to confront Israeli aggression and prevent
the implementation of its agenda aimed at violating Lebanon's
sovereignty.</p>
<p>Raad explained that the Resistance adheres to "precise equations of
deterrence imposed on the Israeli occupation, which attempts to<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/-israel--kills-3-lebanese-paramedics-in-strike-on-civil-defe">evade the requirements</a><span> </span>of the status quo but cannot annul them."</p>
<p>"When you are strong in facing the Israeli enemy and have the means
to demonstrate this capability, the other side will surrender, not the
other way around," Raad highlighted.</p>
<p>He said that "Israel" is not expanding the war into Lebanon because
it is being forced to do so by the Resistance, which has underlined
clear responses to breaches in the rules of engagement. </p>
<p>"Deviating from these rules would<span> </span><a href="https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/israeli-government--lying---no-military-solution-exists--ex">lead to a major catastrophe</a>," the Hezbollah MP stressed.</p>
<p>He emphasized that the Resistance in Lebanon "does not hope for war
but is always ready to face it, and the Israeli enemy knows that the
consequences would be severe."</p></div></div></div>
