to "save" Haiti and Haitians, we need to keep in mind some
of the acts of cruelty of the 19 + year US-UN occupation.
The policies of the US, France and Canada have led to the
present hellish conditions in Haiti. </span></p>

the violence of the UN occupation in Haiti since the
bloody kidnapping/coup d'etat of Feb. 29, 2004. Some
scenes were recorded by community reporter Jean Ristil
who was located in Cite Soleil during United Nation
troops' armed attacks on the neighborhood. </span><span

UN military mission from its beginning in 2004 and
continues to be one of the 9-member Core Group (known by
Haitians as Core Gang) that runs the day-to-day US/UN
occupation of Haiti.</span></p>

US/UN occupation forces train, fund and supervise the
Haitian police and prison guards. They are in charge of
the justice system that includes the police and prisons.
The unspeakable brutality and killings that have been
going on in Haiti to this day with UN forces providing
back up and logistical support to the police and their
affiliated death squads have been documented.</span></p>
