<div dir="auto" style="text-align: start;">Ahmed
formerly known as Jesse Dixon, the oldest of 10 was
born on September 25, 1938 in Valhalla NY to Katherine
and William Brewster Dixon and raised in New Rochelle
NY. He always had an amazing voice and started a
couple of singing groups. The LoveLords was the most
popular. The group sang and won Showtime at the Apollo
and recorded several songs. When Ahmed became a
citizen of the Republic of New Afrika, he became a
target for organizing and being outspoken and was a
political prisoner for a time. He is a founding member
of Freedom Now, the New Afrikan People’s Organization
and the Malcolm X Grassroots Movement. He was a key
organizer in the grassroots movement that changed
Lenox Ave to Malcolm X Blvd in Harlem NY. Ahmed has
lectured throughout the U.S. on numerous college
campuses, community rallies, radio and television
programs. He has represented the New Afrikan
Independence movement internationally in Zimbabwe,
Tanzania, Libya, Ghana, Puerto Rico, Nicaragua, Cuba,
Germany, France, Canada and South Africa. His work has
initiated alliances with national liberation struggles
and progressive organizations inside the U.S. borders
and worldwide. Ahmed is a father, grandfather, great
grandfather, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin,
comrade, mentor and friend. I salute you, my hero, my
