<dd>For over 40 years, Attorney Chokwe Lumumba has advanced the causes of
human rightsand social justice in the courtroom. In the final days of
2008, he began another path in the fight to improve the lives of the
people as a city councilman. <br>

<dd>Lumumba will bring a wealth of experience, dedication and passion to
the city of Jackson. In addition to serving as an attorney of the
Mississippi and Michigan for over 40 years, he has been a small
businessowner, factory worker, teacher, youth program director, and board
member of several non-profit organizations. <br>
