<b>In Gaza nearly 50 people including medical personnel, women and youth
have already been killed in the past five days in Israel’s most recent
offensive against Gaza with no end in sight. <br><br>
Prime Minister Ehud Olmert pledged Sunday to press ahead with Israel's
offensive in northern Gaza, brushing off international calls to halt the
aggression and the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza – inadequate
electricity and medicine and dwindling supplies of water, food and other
staples.

Red Crescent Society volunteers throughout the West Bank took to the
streets in nonviolent demonstrations on Sunday in Ramallah, Tulkarem,
Jericho, Jenin and Nablus to honor the two 17-year-old paramedics who
were killed in Beit Hanoun last week.
