been killed under Philippine Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's watch
: There's been 117 political murders in the Philippines this year,
all of them still unsolved : Philippine Brig. Gen. Jovito
Palparan is known as "birdugo" or butcher. During his
stint as commander of the army's 204th infantry brigade in Oriental
Mindoro, Philippines from 2001 to 2004, Brig. Gen. Palparan was accused
of 326 cases of human rights violations including about 80
killings. From February to May this year, human rights groups
accused him of 199 cases of killing, disappearances, harassment, torture,
arbitrary arrest and detention of civilians and rights advocates before
being transferred again. He's now under consideration for promotion
to Major General : Philippine President Gloria Macapagal
Arroyo continues to support the US' so-called war on terror. She
will be tried under a People's Court for election fraud, corruption, and
human rights violations.<br><br>
On October 28th, register your protest against political repression and
