Palestine Report: 3,045 Palestinians Killed and 38,000 Others Wounded

IOF in 42 Months<br><br>
GAZA, Palestine - - Palestinian State Information Service (SIS)
confirmed<br>
that the Palestinian death toll during 42 months of the Intifada
has<br>
climbed to 3,045 as 38,000 others have been wounded by Israeli
occupying<br>
forces (IOF) throughout Palestinian cities, towns, villages and
refugee<br>
camps.<br><br>
<br>
In a report issued by the SIS.s Palestinian National Information
Center<br>
(PNIC), the said death toll included 557 children, 220 women and
344<br>
others of the Palestinian police forces. 732 victims have fallen due
to<br>
Israeli shelling as 230 others died in assassination attempts carried
out<br>
by Israeli warplanes, including 90 untargeted civilians. 523 were
killed<br>
due to miscellaneous Israeli practices in the Palestinian
territories.<br><br>

The report also pointed out that the number of patients who died as
a<br>
result of IOF practices on military checkpoints and border
crossings<br>
reached 105, due to disruption of movement, 43 victims of Israeli
settler<br>
attacks.<br><br>
<br>
As for the victims of the Palestinian medical crews and civil
defense<br>
staffs, they reached 29, while killed journalists were nine, as
press<br>
rights have been violated by IOF 373 times. The Palestinian sport
movement<br>
lost 220 victims out of the total number of killed Palestinians,
PNIC.s<br>
report hinted.<br><br>

As far as wounded Palestinians are concerned, PNIC.s statistical
figures<br>
showed that 38,809 Palestinians have been wounded by IOF, 8,435 of
whom<br>
received medications on the spot. Teachers and students wounded during
the<br>
last 42 months were 5,660.<br><br>
<br>
The report pointed out as well that the number of Palestinian
prisoners<br>
throughout the said period of time was 7,500 including 5,920 recorded
by<br>
the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Ministry, in 22 Israeli jails and<br>
concentration camps.<br><br>
<br>
Among those prisoners were 1,252 students and 196 teachers of
schools,<br>
colleges and universities, as minor prisoners were 336.<br><br>
<br>
Those patients arrested by IOF on checkpoints and roadblocks reached
767,<br>
as the number of women prisoners reached 80, including 24 sentenced
for<br>
different prison service terms, and 54 have been in custody without
trial<br>
as two others have been under administrative detention.<br><br>
<br>
Losses of Palestinian Property:<br><br>
PNIC did not ignore the Palestinian financial losses inflicted by
IOF<br>
measures during the last 42 months, as its statistical figures showed
that<br>
570 governmental buildings have been damaged due to being shelled
by<br>
Israeli fire and 61,513 Palestinian houses were partially and
completely<br>
damaged, including 5,263 completely and 2,772 partially in Gaza
Strip<br>
alone.<br><br>
These houses also included 56,250 that have been partially damaged<br>
including 16,186 in the Gaza Strip.<br><br>
<br>
Schools have not been spared the Israeli devastating actions, as 12<br>
schools and universities have been frequently closed by IOF while
1,125<br>
others, including educational buildings, have been denied normal<br>
activities.<br><br>

302 schools and educational offices as well as universities have
been<br>
exposed to Israeli shelling as 43 other schools have been turned
into<br>
military outposts.<br><br>
<br>
According to the PNIC, the area of Palestinian lands bulldozed by the
IOF<br>
was 62,044 dunums, as 991,581 trees have been uprooted, while 457<br>
agricultural stores and 472 pens were destroyed, as 12,892 live
stocks<br>
were killed as well as 840 cows and 9,738 beehives.<br><br>

Also, IOF demolished 262 wells completely and destroyed 207
agricultural<br>
stores including devastation of 171,589 pens, as 22,013 dunums of
lands<br>
have been bulldozed, 1,014 water wells and 288,985 meters of farms
fences,<br>
and 714,719 others of water lines have been destroyed.<br><br>
<br>
The Israeli aggressions on the Palestinian agricultural sector resulted
in<br>
damages to 10,323 farmers, bulldozing of six greenhouses and 12
tractors,<br>
as the lands expropriated for the Apartheid Wall in West Bank amounted
to<br>
201,696 dunums.<br><br>
<br>
The report said that the rate of unemployment in the occupied
Palestinian<br>
territories reached %60, as the number of unemployed was 302,000<br>
constituting %43.7 of the Palestinians, as the IOF destroyed 8,117<br>
economic establishments including workshops and shops.<br><br>
<br>
The PNIC.s report recorded that the IOF shelled residential and
civilian<br>
population centers in Palestinain cities, towns, villages and
refugee<br>
camps, for 24,453 times and placed 2,137 military checkpoints from
October<br>
2001 up to present day.<br><br>
