The Saudi regime "should have responded to calls for peace rather than
pursuing escalation and committing crimes," Ansar Allah spokesman Mohammad
Abdelsalam said on Wednesday.
In a statement on X, Abdelsalam said Riyadh is attempting to mislead the
international community through false narratives aimed at intimidating and
blackmailing other countries

adding that its objective was to win the sympathy of certain states and
persuade them to fight on its behalf.
“In an irony of fate, its false narratives no longer find listening ears
even among its closest allies, and whoever listens to it is only listening
to its money,” he added.
Saudi aggression intensifies, Yemen unleashes top-tier ops
His statement comes as the Saudi aggression against Yemen intensifies amid
an escalation that triggered the Yemeni Armed Forces’ announcement in July
that the 2022 truce with Saudi Arabia had collapsed following Saudi
Arabia’s aggression on Sanaa International Airport.
Just today, 43 airstrikes hit several Yemeni provinces
<https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/32-airstrikes-hit-yemen-s-marib--al-jawf--taiz--and-hodeidah>,
including Marib, al-Jawf, Taiz, and Hodeidah, *Al Mayadeen*’s bureau chief
in Yemen reported. He said the strikes were aimed at supporting and
reinforcing Saudi military mobilizations on the ground.
In response, the Yemeni forces targeted several Saudi economic facilities

including oil refineries operated by Aramco and Abha Airport. They also
imposed a maritime ban on vessels arriving in or departing from Saudi
Arabia, as part of the “airport for airport and siege for siege” equation.
Recently, the Yemeni Armed Forces have been engaging in confrontations with
Saudi-backed forces across several provinces, after launching preemptive
strikes against their military mobilizations.
On Tuesday, YAF repelled Saudi troops deployed to Souq Al-Yatama in the
Khab wa ash-Sha'af district of the al-Jawf province, a field source told
Sanaa's official *Yemen TV*.
