Four-point retaliation ready if US attacks energy sites, Iran warns
Al Mayadeen English

Iran’s military warns of immediate retaliatory measures, including closing
the Strait of Hormuz and targeting regional infrastructure, in response to
US–Israeli aggression on its energy facilities.

The spokesperson for Khatam al-Anbiya Central HQs, Lieutenant Colonel
Ebrahim Zolfaghari, responded to US President Donald Trump’s

recent threats, describing them as part of a continued pattern of
aggressive behavior that destabilizes global security.

The warning comes after Trump issued a stark ultimatum regarding the
strategic Strait of Hormuz.

In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump said:

"If Iran doesn’t FULLY OPEN, WITHOUT THREAT, the Strait of Hormuz, within
48 HOURS from this exact point in time, the United States of America will
hit and obliterate their various POWER PLANTS, STARTING WITH THE BIGGEST
ONE FIRST! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J.
TRUMP."

Zolfaghari clarified that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed only to
hostile forces and harmful actions and is otherwise under Iran’s controlled
and monitored management. Non-threatening maritime traffic continues under
strict regulations designed to ensure Iran’s security and interests.

However, in the event that the United States carries out its threats
against Iranian energy facilities, Iran has outlined immediate punitive
measures:

   - The Strait of Hormuz will be completely closed and will remain so
   until damaged Iranian facilities are fully rebuilt;
   - All electricity plants, energy infrastructure, and information and
communication technology (ICT) assets of "Israel" will be targeted
   extensively;
   - Any regional companies with American ownership stakes will face total
   destruction;
   - Electricity facilities in countries hosting US military bases will be
   considered legitimate targets.

All preparations in place

"All preparations are in place for the complete destruction of US economic
interests in West Asia. Iran has not initiated war and does not seek it,
but any harm inflicted on our energy facilities will trigger decisive
defensive measures. The destruction of the specified targets will proceed
without interruption, and nothing will prevent the continued neutralization
of energy, oil, and industrial assets linked to the United States and its
regional allies," the spokesperson concluded.
Threats and terror only strengthen national unity: Pezeshkian

Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that efforts to
“erase Iran from the map” reflect desperation "against the will of a
history-making nation."

In a post on X, Pezeshkian asserted that "threats and terror only
strengthen national unity."

"The Strait of Hormuz remains open to all except those who violate Iranian
sovereignty," he added, vowing firm resistance against hostile threats on
the battlefield.
Any water or power systems supplying the US-Israeli bases under threat:
Rezaei

In a related development, Ebrahim Rezaei, the spokesman for the Iranian
parliament's Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, warned on X
that a loss of Iran’s electricity would cut water and power to US and
Israeli bases.

"If we are out of electricity, there will no longer be any water or power
systems supplying the US-Israeli bases," he wrote.
Iran warns of retaliation as Trump issues Strait of Hormuz ultimatum

Earlier today, Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya military headquarters warned it will
target US and Israeli energy infrastructure

information technology systems, and water desalination plants if Iran’s own
energy facilities are attacked, signaling a major escalation in the
regional confrontation.

The headquarters said in a statement: "As we have warned previously, if the
enemy targets Iran's energy infrastructure, we will respond by targeting
all energy-related infrastructure, information technology, and desalination
plants in the United States and the Zionist entity in the region".
After US-Israeli aggression on Natanz, Iran hits Dimona

In a related context, Israeli media reported on Saturday evening that
several sites in Dimona, in southern "Israel", were struck by Iranian
missiles, noting that settlers are feared trapped under the rubble.

According to the reports, the latest missile barrage caused damage across
parts of Dimona

with impacts reported in multiple locations. Israeli outlets also confirmed
that, in addition to structural collapses, a gas storage tank in the area
was hit, raising concerns over a potential leak.

The Iranian retaliation comes after the Natanz enrichment complex in
central Iran was targeted in a renewed US-Israeli attack

on Saturday morning, according to Iranian authorities. The Shahid Ahmadi
Roshan nuclear facility at Natanz was struck earlier today, March 21,
marking another dangerous attack on a nuclear site in the ongoing
US-Israeli war on Iran

.

It is worth noting that the attack violated international law and
obligations

including the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), as well as
regulations related to nuclear safety and security.
