Satellite images show impact of Iran strikes on Gulf US bases

New satellite data reveals the extent of the damage at Kuwait's main
airport and a US-linked airbase after Iranian strikes, as suspected US
military cargo aircraft continue arriving at the region.

Iranian missile and drone strikes have caused damage to military and
civilian infrastructure across Kuwait and Bahrain, according to satellite
imagery and open-source intelligence shared online, amid a sharp escalation
in regional tensions involving US forces operating in the Gulf against
Iranian territory

.
Fresh satellite imagery published by OSINT analysts indicates that a drone
and aircraft shelter at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait was destroyed
following the Iranian strike. The facility, located at coordinates
29°21'04.72"N, 47°30'14.06"E, is understood to host US military operations
and logistics support in the country.
The imagery was shared shortly after reports of widespread strikes
targeting US-military-linked facilities in Kuwait and surrounding Gulf
states
<https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/escalation-in-the-gulf--attacks-in-qeshm--kuwait--bahrain>,
marking one of the most significant escalations in the region in the recent
month.
Damages reported as US reinforces military bases
Additional satellite analysis has also identified structural damage at
Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 1
<https://english.almayadeen.net/news/politics/kuwait-airport-damaged-by-missile--oil-jumps>,
where a large breach is visible in the upper section of the building
following the reported missile and drone strikes.
The incident resulted in the deaths of two civilians and left 63 others
injured, while also forcing major disruptions to airport operations. Kuwait
Airways suspended flights and diverted as authorities moved to assess the
extent of the damage and secure the facility.
It is not confirmed yet whether the damage is due to Iranian munitions or
due to failing interceptors, as footage showed one of such failures last
night when a PAC-3 interceptor turned around and hit an area in Kuwait.
At the same time, separate satellite heat-map data from NASA indicates fire
activity at Bahrain’s Al-Sakhir Air Base following overnight strikes
attributed to Iran.
Meanwhile, open-source tracking accounts noted unusual military logistics
activity in Kuwait, with at least four US military cargo aircraft
reportedly landing at Kuwait International Airport within a 24-hour period,
suggesting continued resupply and operational US forces reinforcement amid
escalating tensions.
Retaliatory Iranian strikes for US attacks
The air movements come as US forces continue operations in the region,
including attacks near the Strait of Hormuz, following reported US strikes
near Iran’s Qeshm Island, which Tehran said were launched from regional
bases in Kuwait and Bahrain

.
Iranian state media stated that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
(IRGC) targeted US military facilities in Kuwait and Bahrain in retaliation
for the American attacks on an Iranian communications tower near Qeshm
Island and an oil tanker incident in the Strait of Hormuz.
US officials, meanwhile, have said that incoming attacks were largely
intercepted and that forces remain on high alert across regional bases.
The latest escalation pushed oil prices higher and comes as fragile
ceasefire efforts remain stalled, with the Strait of Hormuz still largely
disrupted following months of war.
