Palestinian resistance groups said they turned Gaza City into a frontline
battleground, raiding Israeli soldiers at close range and destroying tanks
and vehicles, with Israel confirming serious casualties.

The Palestinian Resistance announced that its fighters targeted Israeli
soldiers and military vehicles during heavy clashes in Gaza City. An
Israeli military spokesman later confirmed that five soldiers were
seriously injured.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, stated that its fighters
raided a gathering of Israeli occupation troops and vehicles on Monday
afternoon inside the Rosary Nuns School in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood,
south of Gaza City.

According to a statement on its Telegram channel, Al-Qassam said its
fighters opened fire at close range, killing and wounding Israeli soldiers.
They also threw vacuum bombs into two Israeli personnel carriers, causing
additional casualties, and detonated a “commando” bomb that destroyed a
Merkava tank.

Al-Qassam added that its fighters observed Israeli helicopters landing to
evacuate the dead and wounded.

Separately, on Sunday, the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic
Jihad, reported that its fighters destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank with a
powerful landmine near Highway 10, south of the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza
City.

In another operation on Monday, Al-Quds said its fighters detonated a GBU
missile, left behind by Israeli forces, against an Israeli infantry unit on
Highway 8, also in southern Gaza City. The group noted that occupation
aircraft were later seen landing to evacuate casualties.
*Ongoing Genocide*

Since reneging on the ceasefire on March 18, Israel has continued its
bloody aerial bombardment across the Gaza Strip, killing and wounding
thousands of Palestinians.

Starting on October 7, 2023, the Israeli military, with American support,
launched a genocidal war against the people of Gaza. This campaign has so
far resulted in the deaths of more than 66,000 Palestinians, with more than
168,000 wounded. The vast majority of the population has been displaced,
and the destruction of infrastructure is unprecedented since World War II.
Thousands of people are still missing.

In addition to the military assault, the Israeli blockade has caused a
man-made famine, leading to the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians—mostly
children—with hundreds of thousands more at risk.

Despite widespread international condemnation, little has been done to hold
Israel accountable. The nation is currently under investigation for
genocide by the International Court of Justice, while accused war
criminals, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, are officially
wanted by the International Criminal Court.
