Al-Qassam Brigades released footage of an IED ambush in northern Gaza and
warned that Israel’s Gaza City offensive would face a prolonged war of
attrition, with threats of more casualties and no prisoners spared.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Resistance
Movement Hamas, released footage on Friday showing Israeli occupation
forces’ vehicles striking a pre-laid explosives field east of the Saftawi
Junction, west of Jabaliya camp, in the northern Gaza Strip.

 The clip, the brigades said, documents an operation that took place on
Friday, September 5.

The video opens with scenes of Qassam fighters preparing and emplacing
improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along a preplanned route.

In one segment, a fighter recites religious verses: “This death is a
delusion. Since when do those who seek it fear death? By God, if we die and
live and it is not as we wanted it, we will bring it back. We will parade
our lives like horses before us. We will only mount what we find best. God
is victorious.”

Footage then shows armored vehicles entering the IED field and two vehicles
detonating the devices. According to the clip, the explosions struck the
intended targets along the prepared path.

The Al-Qassam Brigades announced the launch of a series of operations under
the name “Moses’ Staff,” describing the campaign as a response to Israel’s
ground offensive code-named “Gideon Chariots 2,” which the Israeli army
says aims to occupy Gaza City.

On Thursday evening, the Al-Qassam Brigades leadership vowed that Israel’s
Gaza City offensive would trigger a drawn-out war of attrition.

In a statement, the brigades said they had prepared thousands of ambushes
and explosive devices, warning that Gaza would become “a graveyard” for
Israeli soldiers.

They emphasized that bulldozers, armored vehicles, and troop movements
would be prime targets, and that the number of captured soldiers would
increase as the ground battle expanded.

The statement further warned that the launch and expansion of the Israeli
ground operation meant Israel “will not receive any prisoners, living or
dead.”

It said that Israeli captives were dispersed across Gaza City’s
neighborhoods, and that their survival depended on Israeli Prime Minister
Benjamin Netanyahu’s decisions.
